Ride Glenwood Springs

Stops are located throughout Glenwood Springs, near tourist attractions, the downtown area, shopping centers and neighborhoods. Our system also provides critical connections to regional Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) transit services, Greyhound Bus Lines, and Amtrak.

Regional Transit Services

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA)  operates bus service from Aspen to Glenwood Springs (Roaring Fork Valley service), and Glenwood Springs to Rifle (Grand Hogback route).  RFTA also operates intra-city bus to the four Aspen Skico ski areas, Maroon Bells Guided Bus Tours, and a variety of other seasonal services. RFTA uses biodiesel fuel in its diesel fleet and just began operating new CNG-powered buses to help mitigate air pollution.  For more information, call RFTA Customer Service directly at 970-384-4984.

Greyhound Bus Lines stops in Glenwood Springs daily, continuing on to the rest of the country.  Check their website for fares, bus schedules, station locations, or any other questions.

Amtrak stops in Glenwood Springs everyday, with trains continuing in either direction to Denver or Salt Lake City.  The historical downtown Glenwood Springs depot is located on 7th Street, in between Cooper and Blake Avenues.  The California Zephyr train departs headed east at 12:10pm daily and west at 1:53pm daily.

Park and Rides

Park and Rides
are located throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, making it easier for people to use public transit.  In Glenwood Springs, please use the two FREE park-n-ride locations to connect with both RGS and RFTA buses:

27th Street and SH 82 (Glen Avenue):  Enjoy safe, all-day parking at RFTA's brand new Glenwood Springs Bus Rapid Transit station.  RGS buses stop here every half hour between 7:00am and 7:30pm.

West Glenwood Park-n-Ride:  Enjoy safe, all-day parking at the West Glenwood Park-n-Ride, located 1/2-mile off I-70 on Wulfsohn Road between Glenwood Meadows and Midland Avenue.  RGS buses stop here every half hour between 6:53am and 7:53pm, returning to downtown Glenwood Springs via the West Glenwood Mall and US highway 6 at :23 and :53 past the hour.
