Is it ok to discharge gasoline, used oil, diesel, paint, mineral spirits, battery acid, pesticides, solvents, chemicals and other hazardous chemicals into the sanitary sewer system?
No! Check with your local landfills for disposal. The South Canyon landfill has a hazardous materials collection cleanup every spring. Never dump these chemicals into the sewer system, our wastewater facility is not designed to handle them and many of the components will enter the stream and harm the aquatic life!
