Veltus Park Shoreline Restoration Project

The Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation Department will begin work on shoreline restoration at Veltus Park on August 16, 2018.

This project involves the removal of concrete walkways, railings, the flagstone step area, and concrete debris along the Roaring Fork riverfront.

Former 7th Street Memorial Bricks UPDATE

Memorial Bricks

Inventory and retrieval of the former 7th Street memorial bricks that was originally scheduled for later in September 2018 will not take place. City Council is looking at ways to use the bricks in a future plaza area.

The memorial bricks from 7th Street and the current under bridge areas were removed for construction plans of the new Grand Avenue Bridge. The majority of the memorial bricks were not damaged and have been put into storage. The City is working on a reuse ...
